The Warsash Spring Championships were held over the two weekends, 17/18 and 24/25 April.  There were 12 races planned and no discard.

Light winds (approx 6-8knots) greeted the fleet on 17 April and saw J-Dream (David & Kirsty Apthorp) win the first race posting their best result of the weekend.  Jouster/Velvet Elvis (Adam Wright) won the next three races, giving them the overnight lead.  Meanwhile Stalker (Steven Tapper) and Just So (David & Mary McGough) were battling for third place.  Sunday saw the fleet wait for the wind to fill, which did not happen until after racing was abandoned.

The second weekend saw wind ranging from between 11-19knots and started with Jouster/Velvet Elvis holding a four point lead over J-Dream.   J-Dream regained her winning form posting three wins and a 2nd including the recovery of a MOB, whilst Just So battled with Staker and Jambhala (Richard Sainsbury/Gill Ross) to hold onto third place.  Sunday saw J-Dream win both races from Jouster/Velvet Elvis, but it was not enough to make up for their performance of the first weekend.  Jouster/Velvet Elvis posted consistent results and was crowned Spring Champion.
